Omega-3 & Vitamin D

Some studies have associated vitamin D and omega-3 insufficiency with nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting).

Research has now shown that supplementation with vitamin D and omega-3 can significantly reduce the number of wet nights among children aged 7-15.

In the study, the participating children took supplements for two months.

  • Of the children only taking omega-3 (1000 mg/day), 28% stopped bedwetting.
  • Of the children only taking vitamin D (1000 IU/day), 44% stopped bedwetting.
  • Of the children who took both omega-3 & vitamin D (same amounts as above),45% stopped wetting the bed.
